1. The number and definition of assembly forms are different
(1) ZSY: 9 assembly forms in total (I~IX)
Achieved through different combinations of input shafts and output shafts on the box
Covers various layouts such as left/right/upper/lower extension of the input shaft, left/right extension of the output shaft, etc.
Adaptable to general industrial scenarios with limited space and variable motor layout directions
(2) DCY: only 4 assembly forms (I~IV)
Type I: left shaft output (conventional type)
Type II: Right output shaft (conventional type)
Type III: left output shaft that can be equipped with a backstop
Type IV: Right output shaft that can be installed with backstop
Since the input and output shafts have been fixed at 90° vertical, the assembly form only distinguishes the left and right sides of the output shaft and whether it has a backstop.
2. Differences in backstop configuration
DCY: Types III and IV are equipped with reserved backstop (brake) installation positions at the factory. They are specially designed for belt conveyors and other working conditions that require anti-reversal. It is a standard configuration option.
ZSY: The backstop is an optional accessory and needs to be specified separately. Conventional I~IX types do not reserve a backstop installation structure by default.
3. The requirements for rotation direction are different in strictness.
DCY: Because the high-speed stage uses Gleason spiral bevel gears, the **input shaft rotation direction must be strictly specified on the nameplate** (S = clockwise, N = counterclockwise, looking at the input shaft). Wrong rotation will lead to poor meshing of the bevel gear, abnormal axial force and even toothing.
ZSY: The cylindrical gear is not sensitive to the direction of rotation and can work normally in both forward and reverse rotations; the output shaft is limited to one-way operation only when the backstop is configured (facing the output shaft, S = clockwise, N = counterclockwise)
4. Standard installation posture and fixing method
Both standard models are installed with horizontal feet (base), but the details are different:
ZSY: The bottom of the box is cast with mounting feet, which are fixed on a horizontal foundation through anchor bolts. The allowed inclination is ≤10°; some manufacturers can provide flange and hanging variants.
DCY: It is also mainly installed on the horizontal base. Since the input shaft is perpendicular to the output shaft, the motor is usually connected from the side (perpendicular to the direction of the conveyor). The base hole layout is different from ZSY; flange installation is also supported.
5. Coaxiality and alignment requirements
ZSY: The input shaft and output shaft must ensure coaxiality with the corresponding coupling, and the error does not exceed the allowable value of the coupling.
DCY: The coaxiality requirements between the output shaft and the conveyor roller are stricter (recommended ≤0.1mm). The input shaft is arranged in the vertical direction and has different alignment adjustment dimensions.
