The impact of working ambient temperature on the output speed of the S97 reducer is relatively complicated. There is no fixed specific value, which mainly affects the following two aspects:

Changes in lubricant viscosity: When the temperature decreases, the lubricant viscosity increases. This will increase the frictional resistance between the gears, just like adding an additional 'resistance band' to gear movement, causing the output speed of the reducer to a certain extent. For example, in low temperature environments, the originally smooth lubricant becomes viscous, and the gears need to overcome greater resistance when rotating, and the speed will be affected. On the contrary, if the temperature rises, the viscosity of the lubricant oil decreases, and the friction between the gears decreases. Theoretically, the output speed will increase, but at the same time, it may affect the formation of the lubricant oil film, resulting in poor lubricating effect. Long-term operation may damage the gears and affect the normal operation of the reducer.

Thermal expansion of parts: When the working environment temperature changes, the gears, shafts and other parts of the reducer will thermally expand or shrink. When the temperature rises and the parts expand, the gear meshing clearance may become smaller, and even 'jammed' phenomenon may occur, affecting the speed stability; when the temperature decreases, the parts shrink, and the meshing clearance will become larger, which will lead to a decrease in transmission accuracy and fluctuations in the output speed. For example, in high-temperature environments, the gears squeeze each other after expansion, and the resistance during rotation increases, and the rotation speed may decrease; in low-temperature environments, the gap between the gears becomes larger, and a slight 'slip' phenomenon may occur during the transmission process, which will also change the output speed.

Generally speaking, the working ambient temperature of the S97 reducer is between -40℃ and 45℃. Within this range, the reducer can operate normally as long as the appropriate lubricant is selected and the appropriate installation and maintenance measures are taken, and the variation in output speed is usually within an acceptable range. However, if this temperature range is exceeded, the output speed may change significantly, and even cause reducer failure.
