Ductile iron (QT500-7/QT600-3) :

Place surface hardening :
Shot peening of ductile iron bases or coated with wear-resistant coatings (such as epoxy resins), which can improve surface hardness and corrosion resistance and extend service life.
Reinforcement ribs and support structures :
When designing the base, reinforcement ribs are added (thickness ≥ 1.5 times the thickness of the base wall) and adopt a modular design (such as split bases) to disperse stress concentration.
High-performance grease :
Use lithium-based grease (such as No. 2 lithium-based grease) containing MoS₂ or extreme pressure additives to reduce friction and wear between the base and the reducer contact surface.
Impact Toughness Material :
If the base needs to withstand frequent start-stop or impact loads (such as mining equipment), 42CrMo alloy steel can be used, and its impact toughness (αk≥40J) is better than ordinary carbon steel.
