Advantages : When the circumferential speed of the worm does not exceed 10m/s, oil pool lubrication is the preferred solution. Simple structure, compact, easy to use and repair, and low manufacturing cost. Oil injection lubrication :
Advantages : When the circumferential speed of the worm is more than 10m/s, the oil pool lubrication may cause the oil temperature to be too high due to excessive oil stirring loss, so oil injection lubrication should be used. The lubricating oil is sprayed at a certain pressure to the meshing part of the worm and the worm gear through the fuel injector nozzle, which ensures that the lubricating oil covers the surface of the worm quickly and evenly under high pressure, and provides good lubrication even under high speed and high load conditions. It can quickly take away the heat generated during the worm transmission process, effectively reduce the temperature, and avoid problems such as decreasing lubricant viscosity and deteriorating lubricating performance due to excessive oil temperature.
Disadvantages : A special fuel injection system is required, including oil pumps, oil pipes, fuel injection nozzles, etc. The equipment costs are high and the installation and maintenance are more complicated. The stability and reliability of the fuel injection system are high. If the fuel injection nozzle is blocked or the oil pump is malfunctioning, it may lead to insufficient lubrication and affect the performance of the reducer.
Oil dripping lubrication :
Advantages : The amount of lubricating oil can be accurately controlled according to the actual needs of the worm to avoid waste. Compared with oil bath lubrication, the stirring loss of drip lubrication is smaller and has a smaller impact on transmission efficiency. The amount of oil dripping can be adjusted according to different speeds, loads and other conditions, and the application range is wide.
Disadvantages : It is necessary to regularly check the working status of the oil cup or dropper to ensure that the lubricant can drip in normally and the maintenance workload is large. If the oil dripping position is improper or the amount of oil dripping is unstable, it may cause insufficient lubrication of part of the worm, affecting the transmission performance. The operators have high requirements, and the operators need to master certain technical knowledge and correctly adjust the amount of oil dripping and the position of oil dripping.
