Preparation
Check parts : Clean the parts of the reducer and check the status of each part to ensure that there is no damage or missing. In particular, check the wear and damage of key components such as worm gears, worm gears, bearings, gears, etc.
Confirm fit size : Check whether the fit size of the hole (or shaft) connected to the reducer meets the requirements. The tolerance of the hole should be H7 and the tolerance of the shaft should be H6.
Select lubricating oil : Use lubricating oil with high viscosity and extreme pressure performance, such as worm gear and worm special oil. The specifications and dosage of lubricating oil should be determined according to the model and working environment of the reducer.
Parts installation
Installing bearings : Install bearings in the bearing seat on the reducer housing to ensure that the bearings are installed firmly and apply an appropriate amount of grease. Pay attention to the coordination accuracy and installation method during installation to avoid damage to the bearing.
Installing worm gear and worm : When installing worm gear and worm gear, make sure that its axis is vertically centered, and the error should be ≤0.02mm. At the same time, pay attention to the meshing gap of the worm gear and worm. If the gap is too large or too small, it will affect the performance of the reducer.
Install seals : Install seals on the reducer housing to ensure that the reducer is not invaded by external impurities and liquids. Install an oil seal on the shaft heads of the input shaft and output shaft, pay attention to the installation direction and sealing performance of the oil seal to prevent lubricating oil from leaking.
Installing transmissions : When installing transmissions on the output shaft, it is strictly forbidden to use hammers and other tools to install them roughly. The internal threads of the assembly clamps and end shafts should be used to press the transmissions in with the force of the bolts screwed in to avoid damaging the internal parts.
Assembly details
Fixed reducer : The reducer must be rigidly fixed on a solid horizontal foundation or vertical frame, and leveling is done to ensure that the coaxiality of the prime mover, coupling, reducer and actuator is consistent. The coaxiality of the two connecting shafts should be controlled within the range of φ0.1mm, and a 2-8mm gap should be left between the two axle extension end surfaces.
Control installation distance : In order to avoid deflection of the working machine spindle and additional force on the reducer bearing, the distance between the reducer and the working machine should be as small as possible without affecting normal operation, and its value is 5-10mm.
Fill lubricating oil : When filling gear oil, the recommended value of the reducer should be selected, or oil equivalent to the recommended oil should be used, and the amount of oil should reach the upper and lower positions in the middle of the oil mirror.
Inspection and trial operation
Manual inspection : After installation, turn the shaft by hand, and it must be flexible and free of stagnation.
No-load trial operation : No-load test must be carried out before formal use, and then gradually load and run under normal operation. The trial operation time is generally not less than 2 hours. During this period, the operation of the reducer should be observed to check whether there are any problems such as abnormal noise, vibration or temperature rise.
