1. Shell and sealing protection upgrade
Improve the overall protection level: It is recommended to upgrade the protection level of the reducer to IP65 and above to effectively deal with dust and moisture conditions in the workshop.
Upgraded sealing configuration: Rotating parts such as the input shaft and output shaft should use high-quality fluororubber seals or combined seals (such as double seals), and oil-resistant sealants (such as polytetrafluoroethylene sealants) should be used on the joint surfaces to prevent the intrusion of water vapor and dust.
Optimize vent valve design: Thermal expansion and contraction during operation of the reducer will cause air pressure changes. It is recommended to install a respirator with desiccant, a labyrinth vent valve or a hydrophobic vent valve to effectively prevent external moisture and pollutants from entering while balancing the internal and external air pressure.
2. Material and surface anti-corrosion treatment
Prefer corrosion-resistant materials: For areas with higher corrosion levels, it is recommended to use stainless steel (such as 304/316L) shells; if you continue to use cast iron shells, you must rely on high-quality surface coatings.
Reinforced surface coating: The spray painting process of "epoxy zinc-rich primer + polyurethane/acrylic polyurethane topcoat" is used to provide excellent adhesion and weather resistance; for exposed shaft ends and fasteners, Dacromet or galvanizing processes can be used to form a dense protective layer.
Install a physical protective cover: Add an automatic closing protective cover with a hinged device at the meshing point of the rewinder"s drive roller and gear, which can not only prevent personnel collisions, but also prevent paper scraps and other debris from falling directly into the drive device.
3. Lubrication management and oil monitoring
Shorten the oil change cycle: In humid environments, the gear oil change cycle should be shortened from the conventional 6000-8000 hours to 3000-4000 hours. Before each oil change, the old oil must be completely drained, and the inside of the box must be flushed with new oil to remove residual emulsified oil and rust.
Strengthen bearing lubrication: The replenishment cycle of bearing grease should be shortened to 1000-1500 hours, and it must be completely replaced after every 3 replenishments to avoid mixing old and new greases to affect performance.
Implement oil status monitoring: Establish a regular oil analysis plan, focusing on monitoring whether the oil is turbid, white (emulsified) or the oil level is abnormally elevated. Keeping lubricants clean is key to preventing damage to gears and bearings.
4. Electrical moisture proof and daily operation and maintenance
Moisture-proof motor windings: If the insulation resistance of the motor windings is detected to be low, the "hot air drying method" (50-60°C hot air blowing the shell for 2-4 hours) or the "low-pressure drying method" can be used to remove moisture.
