P series non-standard high-power heavy-duty planetary reducers are mostly used in mining, lifting, mixing, large-scale conveying equipment and other working conditions with large impact loads and continuous heavy loads. Compared with standard reducers, the non-standard customized structure has higher requirements for installation alignment, load matching, and lubrication control. During the actual use stage, focus on the following aspects:
Installation and Coaxiality Control Heavy-duty non-standard models have large output torque, and coaxiality deviations will produce huge additional bending moments and quickly damage bearings and planetary gears. Strictly calibrate the coaxiality of the input and output ends during installation, and it is prohibited to force the bolts to pull for correction; the base must be rigid enough to avoid obvious deformation during operation to avoid cracking of the shell due to alternating stress.
Load and impact control Non-standard high-power models have enhanced load-bearing capacity, but they cannot operate in excess of the rated torque for a long time. The impact load during the startup and braking stages of the equipment is the main cause of failure. Try to add buffer devices; frequent starts and stops, and overload starts are strictly prohibited. Short-term peak impacts must be controlled within the range of the impact coefficient allowed by the product.
Lubrication system management: Friction and heat are serious under heavy-load conditions, so gear oil with corresponding viscosity and extreme pressure performance needs to be selected. Change the oil as required during the first operation; monitor the oil temperature and oil level regularly, and stop the machine for troubleshooting when the oil temperature rises abnormally; pay attention to the status of the seals. Oil leakage will quickly cause gear and bearing wear. When replenishing oil in non-standard cavity structures, ensure smooth air flow to prevent excessive internal pressure.
Temperature and vibration monitoring Daily inspections continuously monitor the shell temperature and vibration values. The temperature rise of a heavy-duty reducer is a normal phenomenon. However, if the temperature continues to exceed the standard and the vibration suddenly increases, it often indicates abnormal gear meshing, damaged bearings or misalignment. The machine needs to be shut down immediately for inspection. Do not continue to operate while sick.
Steering and limit inspection: Some structures of non-standard customized models have fixed rotation direction requirements. Confirm the steering matching equipment requirements before powering on. For systems equipped with brakes and limit mechanisms, the action sequence must be verified to prevent reverse impact from damaging the planet carrier and output flange.
Key points for inspection and maintenance: Cut off the power before shutting down for inspection and release the residual torque of the system; mark the disassembly and do not mix precision parts such as planetary gears, cages, and bearings; when replacing spare parts, give priority to matching non-standard parts to avoid early damage caused by size mismatch of common parts.
Environmental Protection Dust, water vapor, and corrosive media will accelerate seal and gear corrosion. In outdoor or harsh environments, be sure to be dustproof and waterproof; when the ambient temperature is too low, it is recommended to preheat the lubricating oil before starting at low temperature to reduce cold start wear.
