Oil leakage of P series planetary reducer is by no means a simple "oil leakage" phenomenon, but a fuse that causes lubrication failure. As the lubrication system collapses, the transmission performance of the equipment will drop sharply, and the wear of core components will be multiplied. In the end, it will not only significantly shorten the service life of the equipment, but may even cause catastrophic shutdowns.
1. Comprehensive decline in transmission performance.
The loss of lubricating oil means that key meshing components such as planetary gears and sun gears have lost their necessary protective barriers. Under conditions of insufficient lubrication, the frictional resistance between components increases significantly, resulting in a significant reduction in overall transmission efficiency. At the same time, the lack of oil will break the original meshing gap balance, causing the equipment to be accompanied by severe vibration and harsh noise during operation, and the output torque will also become extremely unstable, seriously weakening the operating accuracy and stability of the equipment.
2. Accelerated damage of core components
When the lubrication system fails, gears and bearings will be forced into the harsh situation of 'dry friction'. This extreme physical friction will cause pitting, gluing and even ablation on the tooth surface in a short period of time. In severe cases, large areas of tooth surface peeling may even occur. What's even more fatal is that severe friction will cause the oil temperature to soar. The high temperature will not only accelerate the carbonization and deterioration of the remaining lubricating oil, but also promote the rapid aging of the seals, thus forming a vicious cycle of 'oil leakage → oil shortage → high temperature → more serious oil leakage'.
3. If
the reducer is short of oil for a long time due to the combination of sudden reduction in service life and potential safety hazards, the fatigue loss of its core components will increase exponentially. Equipment originally designed to last for thousands of hours may be scrapped prematurely in a very short period of time. In extreme cases, complete loss of lubrication can cause gears to become instantly stuck or bearings to burn, which will not only cause unplanned shutdown of the entire production line, but may also lead to serious safety accidents.
4. Destruction of production environment and hidden costs.
Leaked lubricating oil will directly pollute the workshop environment. For industries with extremely high cleanliness requirements, such as food and electronics, oil pollution may even directly lead to product scrapping. In addition, the continuous leakage of grease will also cause corrosion to the reducer shell and surrounding related equipment, forcing companies to invest a lot of additional manpower and material resources for cleaning and maintenance, which invisibly significantly increases the overall operating costs.
