To determine whether the cooling fan of the FAF67-4.21-4KW reducer is working properly, it is necessary to combine the mechanical characteristics of the equipment and use multi-dimensional means to carry out comprehensive testing. The detailed operation process is as follows:
Start the reducer and visually check the rotation status of the fan blades. Under normal working conditions, the blades rotate at a constant speed and the speed fluctuation is controlled within 5%. If the fan blades are stuck, stalled, or vibrate significantly, the fan is faulty. Changes in airflow can be observed through the radiator grille. When the fan is working normally, you can sense the continuous and stable air flow.
The noise of the fan is stable during normal operation, generally lower than 65dB. Once you hear the sound of metal friction, periodic clicking or high-frequency whistling, it is most likely caused by bearing wear, fan blade deformation and other problems.
After the equipment has been running continuously for 1 hour, use an infrared thermometer to collect the temperature of the upper and lower parts of the radiator; when the ambient temperature is 25°C, the temperature difference between the two should not be less than 8°C. When the temperature difference is less than 3℃, it means that the cooling efficiency of the fan is insufficient.
During the continuous operation of the equipment, the temperature of the reducer shell is stably maintained in the range of 50 to 60°C. If the oil temperature exceeds 70°C and the cooling fan does not start, you need to check the temperature control switch and power supply line.
Use a multimeter to measure the fan motor supply voltage (common specifications 24V/220V). If the measured voltage deviation is greater than ±10%, you need to troubleshoot the power supply and circuit faults. Check the fuses and relays. Blown fuses and poor contacts will cause the fan to lose power.
Manually turn the fan blades in a safe state when the power is off. The blades should rotate smoothly without any obstruction. If the rotational resistance is too large or the axial movement exceeds 0.5mm, the bearing needs to be replaced. At the same time, check the deformation of the fan blades. Radial runout greater than 1mm and excessive dust accumulation on the blades will reduce the air volume.
Vibration detection : Use a vibration meter to detect the position of the fan bracket. The normal vibration value is <4.5mm/s; if the vibration exceeds the standard, it indicates bearing wear or loose installation.
Thermal imaging detection : Use a thermal imager to locate local overheating areas. If the temperature of the motor windings and bearings is higher than 80°C, it indicates an internal fault.
Regularly clean the fan blades and cooling air ducts; replenish high-temperature resistant lithium-based grease every 2,000 hours of operation of the equipment; record operating data and establish equipment health benchmarks to facilitate subsequent comparison and judgment.
