2. Temperature measurement: Monitor the temperature of the reducer shell. During normal operation, the housing temperature should not exceed 80°C. If the temperature rises abnormally, it may be caused by overload, insufficient or aging lubricating oil, poor heat dissipation, etc.
3. Feel vibration: Feel whether the device has abnormal vibration. Severe vibrations are often related to out-of-axis installation, loose anchor bolts, or worn internal parts.
2. Inspection of seals and fasteners
This part of the inspection can effectively prevent oil leakage and larger failures caused by looseness.
1. Check for leaks: Carefully observe the shaft end seal of the input/output shaft, the joint surface of the box and the oil drain plug to confirm whether there are signs of lubricating oil leakage.
2. Check the breathing valve (ventilation plug): Make sure the breathing valve is unobstructed. If the breathing valve is clogged, the internal pressure of the reducer will increase, thereby "squeezing" the lubricating oil out of the weak seal, causing oil leakage.
3. Fastening bolts: Regularly check and tighten all fasteners such as anchor bolts and flange connecting bolts to prevent loosening due to vibration.
