Operation: Stop the machine and cut off the power, remove the connecting flange between the motor and the reducer, check whether the input shaft flat key/spline is loose, and whether the keyway is deformed or worn; use a dial indicator to detect the coaxiality of the motor shaft and the reducer input shaft. The required deviation is ≤0.05mm.
Solution: If the flat key is loose, replace the flat key of the same specification and apply thread locking agent; if the coaxiality exceeds the standard, adjust the positioning bolts of the motor mounting base and install an adjustment shim for leveling to eliminate the speed fluctuation caused by eccentric transmission.
2. Check the output load and connection status
Operation: Disassemble the coupling/sprocket between the output shaft and the load, manually rotate the reducer output shaft, and determine whether the rotation resistance is uniform and whether there is any jamming.
Solution:
If the output shaft rotates smoothly under no load, it means that the fault is on the load side (such as load bearing damage, mechanical jamming, excessive load), and the load equipment needs to be overhauled or the load needs to be reduced;
If the load connection is eccentric, recalibrate the coaxiality of the coupling to prevent radial force from increasing the running resistance of the shaft system and decreasing the speed.
2. Disassemble and check the wear of internal meshing parts (core failure point)
The standard value of the meshing clearance between the cycloidal wheel and the pin teeth of this type of reducer is 0.02~0.05mm. Excessive clearance is the main internal cause of abnormal speed.
1. Operation steps:
Drain the lubricating oil inside the reducer, remove the fastening bolts of the machine base, and take out the pinion rack and cycloidal wheel;
Check whether the tooth surface of the cycloidal wheel is worn, pitted, or chipped; check whether the pin tooth pin and pin tooth sleeve are falling off, cracked, or excessively worn;
Check whether the input/output bearings are damaged, have excessive clearance, and whether there is any abnormal noise during rotation.
2. Solutions:
If the wear amount of the cycloidal wheel tooth surface is >0.1mm, or grooves appear on the inner wall of the pin tooth sleeve, the cycloid wheel and pin tooth sleeve need to be replaced as a set (one-sided components cannot be replaced separately, otherwise uneven meshing clearance will result);
If the needle rack screw is loose, tighten the screw and install a lock washer; if the bearing is damaged, replace the needle roller/deep groove ball bearing of the same model.
3. Check the status of the lubrication system (poor lubrication will increase operating resistance)
1. Operation steps:
Check the lubricating oil level. The normal oil level should reach 1/2~2/3 of the height of the oil window;
Observe the condition of the lubricating oil. If the oil is black, turbid, and contains metal debris, it means that the lubricating oil has deteriorated.
2. Solutions:
When the oil level is insufficient, add appropriate lubricating oil (L-CKC 100# medium-load industrial gear oil is recommended, and L-CKC 68# is recommended for low-temperature environments);
When the lubricating oil deteriorates, drain the old oil completely, clean the internal oil passages and gear meshing surfaces of the reducer with kerosene or diesel, dry them and refill them with new oil;
It is forbidden to add high-viscosity lubricating oil, otherwise it will increase the starting resistance and cause the load speed to be low.
