The core of optimizing the WPDA60-20-0.37KW reducer lubrication system to reduce vibration is to 'select the right oil, control the oil well, and protect the oil well' to allow the meshing surface and bearings to form a stable oil film and reduce friction and impact. The specific methods are as follows:
Choose the right oil type : Prioritize the special oil for worm gears (such as L-CKC 220#, choose 150# for low temperature conditions, and choose 320# for high temperature and heavy loads). Its additives can improve the anti-gluing and anti-wear properties, and are more suitable for the copper-steel meshing worm gear structure than general mechanical oil.
Confirm material compatibility : If the seal is nitrile rubber, avoid using oil containing too many extreme pressure additives; fluororubber seals can be adapted to most special oils to prevent oil contamination and lubrication failure caused by reaction between the oil and the seal.
Control oil viscosity : The viscosity needs to match the working conditions. Choose 220# when the ambient temperature is 10-40℃, choose 150# when it is below 10℃, and choose 320# when it is above 40℃. Improper viscosity will cause the oil film to be too thin (increased vibration) or too thick (increased oil stirring resistance).
Strictly control the oil level : the oil level must be maintained at the center line of the oil window (approximately 1/2 of the worm gear radius), and cannot be lower than 1/3 or higher than 2/3. An oil level that is too low will lead to insufficient lubrication of the meshing surfaces and bearings, and increased friction and vibration; an oil level that is too high will increase the oil stirring resistance, causing the oil temperature to rise and vibration to amplify.
Improve oil supply pertinence : This model is a small reducer. If it is under heavy load at low speed for a long time (speed <100r/min), a small oil nozzle can be installed at one end of the worm to regularly replenish lubricating oil to the meshing area; if there is an abnormal local temperature rise during operation, a micro oil channel can be reserved at the bearing end cover to ensure sufficient lubrication of the bearing.
Avoid oil retention : Check whether the oil drain plug is well sealed to prevent oil leakage and a drop in oil level; regularly tilt the reducer to drain impurities deposited at the bottom of the shell to avoid poor local oil circulation.
Regularly replace the oil : Change the oil for the first time after the new reducer has been running for 500 hours, and then change the oil every 2000 hours or once a year; if the working conditions are dusty, high temperature, or start and stop frequently, the oil change cycle should be shortened by 30%-50% to avoid vibration caused by aging of the oil and decreased viscosity.
Filter and clean the oil : When changing the oil, use a 200-mesh filter to filter the new oil to remove impurities during transportation and storage; regularly clean the oil window and the oil filler port filter to prevent dust and metal debris from entering the oil chamber, and to avoid increased vibration caused by wear on the meshing surfaces and bearings.
: Observe the color of the oil regularly (normally it is transparent or light yellow, if it turns black or turbid, the oil needs to be changed immediately), and there is no stickiness or particle impurities when touched by hand; if metal shavings appear in the oil, the wear of the worm gear and bearing needs to be checked and repaired in time.
Repair the meshing surface and bearings : If there is wear or pitting on the tooth surface, grind or replace the worm gear first to avoid rough tooth surfaces from destroying the oil film. If the bearing clearance is too large or worn, replace it in time to ensure the smooth operation of the shaft system and reduce vibration superposition caused by component failure.
Seal and prevent pollution : Check whether the seal is leaking to avoid oil loss or external impurities entering; if the gap between the sealing surfaces exceeds the standard, repair it according to the previous method to prevent dust and moisture from mixing into the oil and affecting the lubrication stability.
