Gear and shaft materials
Considerations : strength and hardness need to be considered to meet the load-bearing capacity requirements; wear resistance to ensure service life; corrosion resistance, adapt to specific working environments; processing performance, easy manufacturing and processing; and cost, comprehensively consider cost-effectiveness.
Material recommendation : Commonly used materials include 20CrNiMo, 20CrNi2Mo, 42CrMo and other fine rolled alloy steels. These materials have high strength and toughness and are suitable for high-speed and high-load transmission requirements. 20CrMnTi can also be used, which can meet the requirements of hard-tooth surface gear after carburizing, high-frequency surface quenching heat treatment specifications and teeth grinding.
Box material
Considerations : The box must bear the role of supporting the shaft system, sealing and lubricating medium, bearing the internal gear meshing reaction force and external installation load, so there are clear requirements for the strength, stiffness, wear resistance, casting performance and cost of the material.
Material recommendation : It is usually made of gray cast iron HT200, which has good casting performance and vibration damping performance, and can meet the requirements of general operating conditions. For heavy loads or impact load reducers, cast steel boxes, such as ZG35CrMo, can be used to improve the strength and impact resistance of the box.
