Visual inspection:
Check the fixing parts: Carefully observe whether the fixing bolts, nuts or snaps of the heat sink are complete and whether there are any looseness, missing or damaged conditions. If the bolt is found to be loose, tighten it in time; if there is any missing or damaged, a new fixing piece needs to be replaced.
Check the appearance of the heat sink: Check whether the heat sink has deformation, cracks or damage. If these problems exist, it may affect the fit between the heat sink and the reducer body, and thus affect the heat dissipation effect. The heat sink needs to be corrected or replaced in time.
Observe the installation position: Confirm whether the installation position of the heat sink is correct, whether it is closely fitted with the reducer body, and whether there is any misalignment or excessive gap. If so, re-adjustment and installation are required.
Manual check:
Shake the heat sink: When the reducer is shut down and the power is off, gently shake the heat sink to feel whether it has obvious shaking. If the shaking is obvious, it means that the installation is not firm. Further inspection of the fixture or installation position and adjustment is required.
Touch the connection part: Use your hands to touch the connection part between the heat sink and the reducer body to check whether there are gaps or uneven places. If there are gaps, it may affect heat conduction. You need to check the gasket or reinstall the heat sink to ensure that the connection is tight.
Tool-assisted inspection:
Use a feeler gauge: Use a feeler gauge to check the gap between the heat sink and the reducer body. If the gap is too large and exceeds the normal range, it means there is a problem with the installation and adjustments are required. Generally speaking, the gap should be as small as possible to ensure good heat conduction.
Torque wrench inspection: If the heat sink is fixed by bolts, you can use a torque wrench to check the tightening torque of the bolts. Make sure that the torque of each bolt meets the specified value to ensure that the heat sink is installed firmly. If you find that the torque of a certain bolt is insufficient, you need to tighten it according to the specified torque.
