1. Analysis of causes of failure of roller press reducer bearings
1. Excessive load and fluctuation impact
Roller presses are low-speed, high-heavy-load equipment. In actual operation, due to the mixing of foreign matter, uneven cutting, and the uneven unevenness of the roller surface caused by long-term operation, the reducer will inevitably have overloading, jamming, and fluctuating overloading during operation. Exceeding the standard and fluctuating these loads will cause the tooth surface and bearing surface to break. If not discovered in time, the situation will deteriorate rapidly.
2. Severe impact caused by metal foreign matter intrusion
When larger metal objects (such as grate cooler hammers, loader shovel heads, steel balls, etc.) enter the roll gap squeeze zone, they will cause huge instantaneous impacts to the roll surface and bearings. This impact will cause local fatigue damage to the bearing surface. As the equipment continues to operate, the fatigue area will further expand, eventually leading to pitting and peeling of the bearing. In severe cases, it may even cause the outer ring and inner ring of the bearing to break and fail due to impact.
3. Extrusion deformation and misalignment of the bearing chamber
Overloading or jamming under harsh working conditions may cause extrusion deformation and damage to the bearing chamber of the reducer. For example, if there are obvious extrusion marks at the stop of the bearing chamber and it bulges inward, or even cracks occur on the outside, this will directly lead to a slight misalignment of the center of the bearing chamber, thereby causing bearing damage.
4. Lubrication and sealing failure
Reducers usually use oil bath lubrication or centralized lubrication systems. If the oil circuit of the lubrication system is blocked, the oil filling hole is blocked by dust, or the seal is worn and dust and water enter the inside of the bearing to contaminate the lubricating oil, it will cause insufficient lubrication and poor heat dissipation of the bearing, which will lead to overheating or even ablation of the bearing.
5. Loosening of fastening bolts and changes in clearance
After the equipment has been running for a period of time, the bearing fastening bolts may become loose. If the secondary tightening is not performed in time, relative movement will occur between the bearing and the bearing position, the working clearance will increase, the number of rolling elements participating in the work will decrease, and rolling friction will even change from rolling friction to sliding friction, seriously damaging the normal working condition of the bearing.
