1. Optimize the design of reducer
Reasonable box structure
The box should have sufficient heat dissipation area, such as adding heat sinks or using materials with good thermal conductivity. In some large planetary reducers, the box is usually designed as a structure with heat dissipation ribs to increase the heat dissipation surface area. For example, the planetary reducer for ball mills in a large cement factory has a box made of cast steel and is designed with dense heat dissipation ribs, which effectively improves heat dissipation efficiency.
Optimize oil circuit design
Ensure that the lubricant can fully flow through key heating areas and take away heat. The even distribution of lubricating oil and efficient heat dissipation can be achieved by designing reasonable oil channels and fuel injectors. The planetary reducer in a wind power generation equipment optimizes the oil circuit so that lubricating oil can be accurately injected into the gear meshing parts and bearings, significantly improving the heat dissipation effect.
2. Choose the right lubricant
Suitable viscosity
Select lubricating oil of appropriate viscosity based on factors such as the working temperature, load and rotation speed of the reducer. Too high viscosity will increase internal friction and lead to increased heat generation; too low viscosity will not form an effective oil film, affecting lubrication and heat dissipation. For example, in a planetary reducer of a CNC machine tool, according to its high-speed and high-precision working characteristics, a lubricating oil with low viscosity but good wear resistance is selected, which not only ensures the lubricating effect but also reduces heat generation.
Good heat dissipation performance
Lubricating oil should have good thermal conductivity and can quickly transfer heat. Some special synthetic lubricants have excellent heat dissipation performance and high temperature stability, and are suitable for high temperature and high load working environments.
3. Install the heat dissipation device
Fan cooling
Install a fan outside the reducer to enhance heat dissipation by forcing convection. In the transmission system of an automated production line, a fan is installed next to the planetary reducer to accelerate air flow and effectively reduce the temperature of the reducer.
