The meshing friction loss between worm tooth and worm gear tooth surface is large, so the transmission efficiency is lower than that of gear, easy to heat and high temperature.

It can obtain large transmission ratio with single-stage transmission and compact structure. Most types of reducers have good self-locking, and can save braking devices for mechanical equipment with braking requirements.
The box type includes basic type (the box body is vertical or horizontal structure with baseboard) and universal type (the box body is rectangular, with fixed screw holes on many sides, without baseboard or with baseboard)

There are two connection modes of input shaft of cast iron worm gear reducer: basic type (single input shaft and double input shaft) and with motor flange.
