The installation and debugging quality of the reducer directly determines the later failure rate and service life. Many equipment leave the factory without problems, but improper installation leads to abnormal noise, oil leakage, vibration, jamming, and frequent failures later on. Today I will share the complete installation and debugging steps of the conveyor reducer. Novices can also operate it in a standardized manner and avoid faults from the source.
Step 1: Check before installation. Unpack the reducer and check whether the appearance of the reducer is intact, the accessories are complete, and there is no bump or deformation; check whether the model, power, and speed ratio match the equipment; check whether the lubricating oil level and seals are intact, and there are no oil leakage or oil shortage problems.
Step 2: Precise alignment and installation. Clean the equipment installation base to ensure that the base surface is flat, free of debris, and deformed; accurately connect the reducer to the motor and conveyor to ensure consistent coaxiality and eliminate offset and misalignment; after fitting the installation surface, tighten the bolts evenly and diagonally. It is prohibited to tighten on one side to avoid deformation and oil leakage of the end cover.
Step 3: Lubricating oil filling and debugging. Add the specified type of lubricating oil according to the equipment instructions, and strictly control the amount of oil, no more, no less; after installation, let it sit for 10-20 minutes to allow the lubricating oil to fully infiltrate the internal gears and bearings.
Step 4: No-load test run. When starting up the machine for the first time, it must run without load for more than 30 minutes. Observe whether the equipment has abnormal noise, vibration, oil leakage, or high temperature problems. Check whether the rotation speed is stable and whether the transmission is smooth. After confirming that there are no abnormalities, test run with materials.
Step 5: Load debugging and optimization. Gradually increase the conveying load, test the operating status of the equipment under different working conditions, check whether the torque and speed are up to standard, and whether there are stuck or slipping problems, and fine-tune the installation accuracy and tightness to ensure stable operation at full load.
Summary: After installation and debugging are completed, keep records of the trial operation of the equipment, and regularly recheck the tightening status of the bolts to ensure long-term stable operation of the reducer.
