ZQA500-25-1 The shaft centering deviation of the soft tooth surface reducer has many adverse effects on the operation of the equipment, as follows:

  • Accelerating component wear : shaft alignment deviation will cause the bearing to bear uneven loads, resulting in premature wear, overheating, and even ultimately failure of the bearing. At the same time, deviation will lead to uneven gear meshing, biased load phenomenon, accelerate wear and pitting of gear tooth surfaces, shorten the service life of gears and bearings.

  • Increase vibration and noise : The misaligned shaft produces uneven forces, resulting in radial, axial, or combined vibrations that are often exacerbated with increasing velocity and load. In addition, the axis alignment deviation will cause tooth shape errors during gear transmission, resulting in abnormal noises, such as periodic 'knock' sounds or 'buzzing' sounds.

  • Reduce transmission efficiency : Shaft centering deviation will cause additional resistance and friction when the shaft rotates, forcing the motor to work harder, resulting in increased energy consumption, reduced transmission efficiency and reduced system performance.

  • Causes seal damage and oil leakage : The normal operation of the seal depends on precise shaft centering. The deviation of the shaft centering will cause uneven wear on the seal surface, which will cause the seal to fail and cause oil leakage, which will not only pollute the working environment, but may also affect the normal lubrication and heat dissipation of the reducer.

  • Serious failures such as shaft fracture may occur : Severe shaft alignment deviation will increase the bending stress on the shaft. When the stress exceeds the shaft's bearing capacity, it may cause shaft fracture, resulting in serious damage to the equipment and shutdown accidents.

  • Impact the operating accuracy of the equipment : In some equipment with high requirements for operating accuracy, shaft alignment deviation will cause unstable speed and torque output by the reducer, which will affect the operating accuracy of the entire equipment and lead to a decline in product quality.
