How to install the BLD reducer filter? Master these steps to avoid installation errors

Installing a filter on the BLD cycloid reducer seems to be a simple replacement job, but if the details are not paid close attention to, it can easily cause oil leakage, cavitation and even equipment jamming. In order to allow everyone to install it correctly at the first time and avoid detours, here is a set of highly practical installation guides.
The first step: "Three checks" before installation, don"t fight an unprepared battle
Don’t rush to tighten the screws before you start. Do the following checks first:
Check the matching degree: Carefully check the filter model, filtration accuracy and interface size to ensure that it fully matches the working conditions of the BLD reducer.
Check the environment and spare parts: prepare a torque wrench, absolute ethanol and new seals. At the same time, confirm in advance whether the lubricating oil used in the reducer complies with regulations.
Check the mounting seat: The filter mounting seat and oil port must be thoroughly cleaned. Any remaining iron filings, old residue or dust is a potential risk for future wear and tear on the equipment.
Step 2: Standardize assembly, details determine success or failure
To enter the formal installation process, please strictly follow the following sequence:
Filter element pre-inspection: Unpack the new filter element and check whether there are any bumps or damage to the filter material caused by transportation. After confirming that it is correct, gently wipe the outer surface with absolute ethanol.
Smooth placement: Place the filter element smoothly into the filter housing and accurately align it with the positioning slot. Remember not to use brute force to prevent the filter material from deforming and failing.
Tighten evenly: Replace with a new sealing gasket and replace the end cap. Use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts evenly and diagonally in order to ensure that the force is balanced and the torque specified by the manufacturer is reached.
Step Three: Exhaust and test the machine to hold the last line of defense
Completion of assembly does not mean that it is done. Subsequent debugging is equally critical:
Connected exhaust: Open the exhaust plug on the oil line, start the reducer and let it run at low speed, completely exhaust the remaining air inside the filter to prevent cavitation from damaging the filter element.
Liquid level and trial operation: Fill the lubricating oil to the center line of the oil mark. Let the equipment run continuously for 30 minutes. During this period, closely observe whether there is any leakage at the filter interface to confirm that the oil flows smoothly.
Manual turning verification: Before or after power-on test machine, be sure to manually turn the input shaft of the reducer to feel whether the rotation is smooth. If jamming or abnormal noise occurs, stop the machine immediately for troubleshooting.
️ Core pit avoidance warning
Violent knocking is strictly prohibited: It is absolutely prohibited to use a hammer to directly knock the filter housing, which will cause deformation of the housing and dislocation of the internal filter material.
Keep the breathable cap facing up: When installing, make sure the breathable cap is in its highest and unobstructed position. If the breathable cap is clogged or oriented in the wrong direction, the pressure generated by thermal expansion and contraction inside the reducer will cause oil leakage and even allow impurities to invade the filter in reverse.
