2. Worm gear wear


Worm gears are usually made of tin bronze.The data of the paired worm is usually hardened to HRC45-55 with No. 45 steel.It is also commonly used to harden HRC50-55 with 40C.The worm is ground to a roughness of Ra0.8fcm by a worm grinder.When the reducer is working normally, the worm is like a hardened 'file', which keeps filing the worm gear and wears the worm gear.


Generally, this wear is slow.For example, some reducers in the factory can be used for more than 10 years.If the wear speed is fast, it is necessary to consider whether the Selection of the reducer is accurate, whether there is overload, the raw material of the worm gear, the quality of the equipment or the use environment and other factors.


3. Transmission bevel gear wear


It mostly occurs on the reducer of the vertical device, which is mainly related to the increase of lubricating oil and the selection of lubricating oil.When the vertical device is installed, it is easy to cause insufficient lubricating oil.When the reducer stops working, the transmission gear oil between the motor and the reducer will be lost, the gears will not be properly maintained, and the lack of effective smoothness will cause mechanical wear or even damage or work when starting.


4. The worm bearing is damaged


When the reducer fails, even if the gearbox is well sealed, the factory often finds that the gear oil in the reducer has been emulsified, and the bearings have been rusted, corroded, and damaged.This is because the gear oil is formed by the condensation of water after the reducer is heated and cooled during operation and shutdown; of course, it is also closely related to the quality of the bearing and the process method of the device.
