At what temperature does the GSA87-YEJ2.2KW reducer operate best?

The optimal operating temperature of the GSA87-YEJ2.2KW reducer (gear reduction + electromagnetic brake motor) must simultaneously meet the three dimensions of the reducer case body temperature zone, oil temperature, and motor body temperature . The core is oil temperature as the primary control indicator.

1. Optimal operating temperature (stable operating conditions)

1. Temperature zone (core) of the reducer case

  • Optimal range : 50℃~70℃ (shell surface)

  • Oil temperature (oil pool) : 40℃~60℃ (optimal, balance of lubrication and heat dissipation)

  • Temperature rise control : oil temperature ≤ ambient temperature + 30℃ ~ 40℃ ; shell ≤ ambient temperature + 25℃

2. YEJ2.2KW motor body (Class F insulation)

  • Stator winding : ≤ 105℃ (F-class insulation allows temperature rise of 105K, upper limit is 145℃ when the environment is 40℃)

  • Chassis/Bearing : ≤ 70℃ (warm to the touch but not hot)

  • Brake : ≤ 80℃ (to avoid overheating of the brake coil and failure)

3. Ambient temperature (allowable range)

  • -15℃~+40℃ (YEJ motor standard environment)

  • Below - 15℃ requires preheating; above 40℃ requires enhanced heat dissipation

2. Temperature upper limit (safety warning, not allowed for long periods of time)

  • Oil temperature: ≤80℃ (if it exceeds, the oil film will fail and accelerate aging)

  • Shell: ≤85℃ (short-term peak value ≤90℃)

  • Motor winding: ≤145℃ (when the environment is 40℃)

3. Effects of too low temperature (<40℃)

  • The viscosity of the lubricating oil increases sharply, the fluidity is poor, the gears/bearings are insufficiently lubricated, and the wear is increased.

  • Large starting resistance, low efficiency, and easy overloading of the motor
