There are many factors to be considered in the selection of planetary reducer. If the selection is small, the reducer can not bear the load or other conditions after operation; Large selection will cause waste of resources. A number of factors need to be considered in the selection of planetary reducer, including load, torque, return clearance, inertia, accuracy, installation size and speed, because some values have been determined, mainly including whether the speed ratio, torque and accuracy meet the operation requirements. Today, we introduce the relevant formula and some knowledge of the type selection calculation of planetary reducer.


1. Selection of speed ratio: input speed of reducer ÷ output speed of reducer=final speed ratio


2. Torque: reducer torque > output torque of servo motor × speed ratio


3. Precision: reducer return clearance (back clearance, clearance, slewing clearance), selected according to equipment requirements

1. Calculate load torque


T=9550 × p1/n2=9550 × 3/360=79.58Nm


2. Calculating the output torque of the reducer


T2N≥T × f1=79.58 × 1.25=99.475Nm


3. Select a reasonable reducer according to the reduction ratio, reducer output torque, input motor terminal size, and output equipment terminal size.
