What is the problem if the SEW reducer leaks oil but the oil level is normal

The SEW reducer leaks oil but the oil level is normal. There may be several reasons:
Seal issues
Aging or damage to the seal: After long-term use of seals such as seals, oil seals, etc., the internal seals of the reducer will age, cracks or deformation due to temperature changes, mechanical wear, etc., resulting in a decrease in sealing performance and oil leakage.
Improper installation of seals: If the seal is not operated according to the specifications when installing the seal, such as the seal being damaged or the sealing surface is not aligned, even if the oil level is normal, it will cause a tight seal and oil leakage.
Box-related issues
Box deformation: When the reducer is manufactured, if the casting is not annealed or aging, the internal stress is not eliminated, and deformation may occur during use, resulting in gaps and oil leakage.
There are trachoma or gaps in the box: the castings are of poor quality and there are trachoma or gaps in the box. Lubricating oil will seep out of these weak places, but the oil level may not drop significantly when a small amount of leakage is leaked.
Poor oil return: If there is no oil return groove in the box, or the oil return groove is unreasonably designed and blocked, the oil splashed on the inner wall and shaft section of the box cannot flow back to the oil tank in time, and it may leak out along the axial direction.
Pressure difference problem
Blocking of ventilation holes: When the reducer is running, the friction and heating of the movement pair causes the temperature to rise. If the breath hole is blocked, the pressure inside the machine will gradually increase, forming a pressure difference with the outside world, causing lubricating oil to leak out from the gap. Even if the oil level is normal, oil leakage may occur as long as there is a pressure difference and a sealing weakness.
Maintenance process issues
Improper sealing treatment during maintenance: During the equipment maintenance, the dirt on the bonded surface is not cleaned, or the sealant is improperly selected, the sealing is installed in the reverse direction, and the sealing is not replaced in time, etc., which will lead to poor sealing and oil leakage.
