How to judge whether the R47 gear reducer needs to install a heat dissipation device

Whether the R47 gear reducer needs to be installed with a heat dissipation device is mainly determined based on the ambient temperature, load conditions and continuous operating time. The following are specific judgment criteria:
1. Ambient temperature ≥ 60℃: When the operating ambient temperature of the reducer reaches or exceeds 60℃, the natural heat dissipation efficiency drops significantly. An axial flow fan (air cooling) or water cooling jacket (water cooling) should be installed to ensure that the oil temperature is controlled below 85℃.
2. Continuous 24-hour heavy-load operation: If the equipment is continuously operated at full load or heavy load for a long time, even if the ambient temperature is not high, internal friction will cause the oil temperature to rise rapidly. At this time, a forced cooling device, such as an air-cooling or water-cooling system, is also required.
3. Small-power reducers operate under high-temperature conditions: For example, when the ambient temperature of the R27 model is >45°C, it is recommended to install a water-cooled plate cooler; similarly, although the R47 is a medium specification, if it is in a high-temperature + heavy-load superimposed working condition, the heat dissipation configuration should also be upgraded.
4. Installed in a confined space or poorly ventilated area: such as underground corridors, closed computer rooms, etc., where air circulation is poor and heat is easy to accumulate. You should plan in advance to install ventilation equipment or cooling fans.
5. Thermal power verification is not performed or the verification fails: Selection If the thermal power is not verified, or the verification results show that the rated thermal power cannot meet the operating requirements, especially during high-temperature open-air operations in summer, it is easy for the oil temperature to exceed the standard, resulting in lubricating oil aging and gear wear. At this time, a heat dissipation device must be installed.
6. Overheating failure record: If the reducer has experienced problems such as excessive oil temperature, deterioration of lubricating oil, abnormal bearing wear, etc., it should be regarded as a signal of insufficient heat dissipation. A forced heat dissipation device needs to be installed and a maintenance mechanism for regular cleaning of the heat sink should be established.
